The first time I met Darren Marton I was immediately impressed by the strength of his determination to educate young people about the dangers of drugs. He has a real passion for this which undoubtedly comes from his own personal experience. He is fully aware that the impact of illicit drugs on his life resulted in him losing many of life’s opportunities, including a formal education, reaching his full sporting potential and almost the loss of his family. Darren has a simple, clear, and very powerful message for all young Australians today and he has my full support.

I write in relation to Darren Marton who is quite a special young man. He created and launched his own campaign which he’s called The No-Way Campaign, supported by Federal Minister Danna Vale. He seeks to educate the youth in our community about the real dangers of drug addiction so that young people can make good informed choices. He’s already visited a stack of schools, delivering his message. He now speaks opnenly about what he had, and what he lost. Darren is now hoping someone is listening. He has a story to tell. He has a lesson to be taught. I want to support Darren Marton in all he does. I am writing this as a recommendation of the excellent work that he is now performing. And I want it to be known it’s a recommendation without any reservation.

Darren's message is truly inspiring, and as a promising rugby league player he was enticed by the evil temptations of drugs and alcohol. Darren has now emerged from this dark period in his life and is now able to provide today's youth with first hand experience of the dangers and consequences of drug experimentation and addiction, with a story so many unfortunately are unable to live to tell. Well done Darren, I have no doubt that many lives will be saved thanks to your all important work.

Drug Free Australia fully supports the amazing efforts of Darren Marton, the Founding Manager of The No-Way Campaign. Darren has informed and educated thousands of young adolescents about the dangers of drugs since launching The No-Way Campaign in May of 2006. Craig Thompson, Drug Free Australia’s Chair has personally attended Darren’s presentations at high schools and is highly impressed with his professionalism, yet caring way in which Darren conducts himself. The main message that is left with students is one of setting their own personal goals – and keeping those firmly within their sights so that nothing takes away their dreams and aspirations.
